Prestelle is quick-witted and highly observant. She has a head for numbers and prefers her life of running the town to adventuring. Despite this sedentary attitude, she is quick to contribute to the defense of the town and her ferocity in battle is surpassed only by her clever casting of magic.

Armed Forces: A detachment of the elite Elvenguard has headquarters in the village but is not counted among its population. They patrol the surrounding forest and trade roads to ensure the safety of this valuable trading outpost. The guard consists of 40 elite rangers, all superb trackers, archers and wizards.

Major Industries: Elven manufactured goods (bows and minor magic items), horses and extensive trading. During the height of the caravan season, Rifllian is a trade stop and source for supplies.

Notable Laws: Elven law dominates here but non-residents are subject to Ducal Law as per the Calarii’s agreements with Duke Stefan.

Notable Mages: Daravalla Moonfeather (N Alfheim Elf Wizard 7), a semi-retired adventurer from the Erendyl clan of Alfheim. Daravalla does take apprentices under her wing and runs a well-stocked alchemical shop. She has a very extensive spellbook and has been known to offer spells and scrolls to adventurers in exchange for acquiring fresh alchemical ingredients from dangerous monsters.

Breban Calinovich (NG human Druid 3/Wizard 3/Mystic Theurge 2) is a Traladaran follower of Zirchev. He was once involved with Marilenev plotting against the Thyatians but has left his rebel days far behind him. He is an older man, with a genuine love of the forest. He tends a small roadside shrine to Zirchev just outside of the village.

Mother Blossom (NG Halfling Expert 2/Wizard 1) is a Halfling healer and fortuneteller who has some minor magical skills. She is the first choice for many town residents to patch them up as her services are far cheaper than a spell. She also runs the town’s laundry services, staffed by her family.

Notable Personalities: Balanov One-Eye (LG human Expert 4/Warrior 2) is the village blacksmith. He has several apprentices and keeps quite busy shoeing horses and doing repairs on passing caravans. He was once a soldier and spent several years in Specularem.

Elmun Windfinder (NE human Rogue 3/Swashbuckler 2) is ostensibly a trade representative from the Minrothad Guilds. He has served as a contact for some Minrothad Guilds Overland Combine caravans but spends most of his time eyeing the wares of other traders or drinking in the inn.
